THE INFLUENCE OF “THE CULTURE OF POVERTY” OR “THE URBAN INNERCITY BLACK SUBCULTURE”

WHY CHRIS HENRY FELT HE COULD NOT SEPARATE HIMSELF FROM HIS “HOMIES” OR THOSE HE HAD GROWN UP WITH – THAT LED TO A NUMBER OF ARRESTS BEFORE HIS DEATH.  –  What do you think about this ?  …

CAN YOU PUT YOURSELF IN HIS SHOES … AND OTHER BLACK INNERCITY BORN AND RAISED PRO ATHLETES ?

Before his death falling from the truck his girlfriend was driving after an argument – the following interview:

Question:  Chris Henry ‑ The Interview: After his move to another more friendly (more conducive to Asuccess@) subcultural environment or neighborhood ‑ what influences may have still remained?

Answer to Question:  ” … after the 3rd and 5th arrests …

… “I had been partying with friends when those arrests occurred

Question:  … can’t you separate yourself from those friends … stop associating with them … change your telephone number?

… It is hard to separate yourself from friends you have grown up with and known all your life … some would understand … others would not … its like turning your back on them (Note:  Alike forgetting where you come from …?) … your urban, black innercity poverty neighborhood …

… black subculture@:    hip hop … gangsta rap/tupac They don’t give a … about us@ … attitude in their music toward girls and women, drugs, alcohol, crime, prison]

CHRIS IN THE INTERVIEW SAID THAT HE CAME TO THE REALIZATION OF WHAT WAS NECESSARY OR WHAT HE NEEDED TO DO … THAT LAST TIME WHEN HE FACED TIME IN PRISON.

THOUGH WITH HIS ADVISER’S HELP THE MOVE TO THE ASUBURBAN ENVIRONMENT MAY HAVE HELPED … though, did it?   … THE INFLUENCE OF THE CULTURE OF POVERTY OR OF A URBAN, INNERCITY BLACK SUBCULTUREATTITUDE TOWARDS GIRLS, WOMEN, DRUGS, ALCOHOL, CRIME, PRISON … STILL REMAINED!  DIDN’T IT

WHAT MAY HAVE LED UP TO OR WHAT MAY HAVE BEEN SAID DURING THE ADOMESTIC ARGUMENT THAT INFLUENCED THE WIFE TO RUN TO A TRUCK AND LEAVE THE HOUSE IN A HURRY?  WE MAY NEVER KNOW.
