First – Read the about the Conference of Confessing Anglicans and  the C.F.A. Statement – and the Global Anglican Future Conference:

Archbishop Rowan Williams Punishes American Episcopalians for Lesbian Bishop:

http://www.pinknews.co.uk/2010/06/08/archbishop-of-canterbury-punishes-episcopalians-for-lesbian-bishop/

The Presiding Bishop of American Episcopal Church responded to Archbishop punishing the American Episcopal Church’s acceptance of gay women bishops in the following:

“American Episcopal Presiding Bishop stands firm in support of gay bishops

http://www.pinknews.co.uk/2010/06/04/us-episcopal-leader-stands-firm-in-support-for-gay-bishops/

Number 1:  Contrary to what was stated by Wendy Dackson in response to my protest againsther removing my comment, if Wendy Dackson will againexamine and also provide the participants in the”Anglican Communion” discussion an opportunity toread my comment, I did not “indicate that the people’ who held a position other than yours were trolls.” – That was strictly Wendy Dackson’s interpretation of what I actually saidHer recent comment in response to my protest is a continuation or repeating of her misinterpretation and further distortion of what I said.

In another of her comments Wendy Dackson said:  “I have a feeling that the people who are making the most noise have not read, or are not reading the book or aren’t on board with its aims, in which case, the point of their posting is to distract.”

Wendy Dackson, you need to come down from your “Ivy Towered-” approach and realize that in this real world very drastic actions and changes in the Anglican Communion have already taken place and are not about to take place,

and deal with and allowthe participants to deal with the reality of the situation instead of worrying about statements and facts being made that would interfere with a polite “discussion and reading of a book” written by Ken Howard.

Ken Howard’s book is an excellent overview of the Anglican Communication situation and participants in the “Anglican Communication” Discussion Group

should make use of KenHoward’s book in their comments,

“describe your (their) aims and ideas,

and further express what many in the Church —  both conservative and liberal – yearn for the Church to become a place beyond “us” and “them.”

as suggested by Ken Howard who also suggested “you will find a good deal of resources and background on my (Ken Howard’s) websitehttp://practicingparadox.com

Your book discussion is itself a “detraction” from following all of Ken Howard’s suggestions

and use his book to help to face and deal with the realityof what has already occurred is is occurring in the Anglican Communion and working out a solution for the future.

Next, I did read Wendy Dackson’s LinkedIn “Profile” and background and experience  and the comments you made on “The Ecclesiologyof Archbishop William Temple,” “Reinhold Niebuhr,” and Archbishop Rowan Williams’ “lack of integrity in discussions concerning sexuality in the Anglican Communion.”

Wendy Dackson you stated in your personal message to me that you had “several reasons other than the one that you specifically indicated —  as wellalong with your misinterpretation and taking out of context what I had said.

You responded that I should post what I said again

so that if any other member “flagged it as inappropriate” that it would be again deleted.

So, since you, Wendy Dackson, deleted it, you restore it so that the members can read what I actually said and how you took it out of context and distorted itI typed it into the “Anglican Communion” Discussion Group’s website page and have no copy of it now that you deleted itAnd I think that you are aware of that.

As the manager of a “Current Events and History” Facebook website with over 200 “friends” from various parts of the world including England, Nigeria, Egypt, West Indies (Jamaica), India, Africa, Washington, D.C., California, Oregon, New Mexico,,,,,, etc. who regularly and dailypost on my website and who are predominantly African-American college graduates that include published writers, corporate and business professionals, including a former president of a university, and former faculty members of universities, along with other Hispanic and white college graduates, as shown by their “profiles.”

Although frequently “non-members” of the website who really have no interest in the issues being posted and discussed posting their opinions and comments unrelated to hose posted issues as “trolls” who often name-call and attack those posting their comments and those responding to the posts.  This is the category and image of me that Wendy Dackson appears to be communicating to the members of the Anglican Communion Discussion Group.  And prompts me to communicate the following.

Members of my Facebook website have stated the following as recommendations for me.

… “Harold is one of those rare geniuses who have a way of sharing knowledge without coming over as pious or offensive.  Both my spouse and I look forward to his written work.”

“I can unreservedlyyrecommend Harold as a meticulous researcher and writer, having been exchanging views and reference materials with him through online forums.”

And, from one of several Episcopal priests who are members and contributors to my website:

“I look forward daily to the information Harold L Carter provides, as a source of new perspectives and deeper analyses of of cultural, historical, political, and socio-economic issues and trends.”

With regard to my comment that Wendy Dackson quoted out of the context in which it was written, I had not referred to ‘the people’ who held a position other than yours were trolls” but instead specifically —  in line with Ken Howard’s introductory comments with regard to the “them” and “us.” – to “already seceded former members of the Anglican Communion.”

Wendy Dackson in discussing the “Anglican Communion” Discussion Group had referred to (1) the Practicing Orthodoxy Group” that Ken has so graciously set up, and (2) “are we going to hold the discussion here (the Anglican Communion).

In a follow up posto to Ken Howard’s introductory comment, Wendy Dackson commented that Ken Howard had said:  “I wrote Paradoxy in an attempt to make theological sense of what is happening in the Church today, how and why the Church is changing, and what it is we may look like when the emerging Church finishes emerging.  In addition I tried to articulate a “language” to help express what many in the Church – both “conservative” and “liberal” – yearn for it to become – a place beyond “us” and “them.”

Global Anglican Future Conference (G.A.F.C.) in Jerusalem

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_Anglican_Future_Conference

Fellowship of Confessing Anglicans

http://fca.net/

The seceding members of the Anglican Communion have already seceded from the Anglican Communion and have very clearly stated why they left the Anglican Communion and can see no compromise oracceptance of the Anglican Communion so far as any invitation to them to participate in the Anglican Communion Discussion Group

Wendy Dackson has indicated:  “The whole point of the book (Paradoxy) is about creating community between an “us”/”them” situation, but to be able to use our “differences” – to build something.  I hope that all of us will call each other if we slip into polarizing language where someone will identify one thing as “right” and another as “wrong.”

It should be carefully noted that Wendy Dackson does refer to a discussion of Anglican Communion participants as being between members of the Anglican Communion.

Though Wendy Dackson also stated:  “In terms of our differences in the Church let’s take it for granted that all people in the discussion – are trying to be genuine followers of Jesus Christ – and that we have a lot to learn from each other’s ways.”

I ask Wendy Dackson:  Do you now believe that the G.A.F.C., Global Anglican Future Conference and the F.C.A., Fellowship of Cponfession Anglicans “are trying to be genuine followers of Jesus Christ” and “we have a lot to learn from each other’s ways” ?

As indicated it was specifically to the already seceded members of the Anglican Communication, the Global Anglican Future Conference and the Fellowship of Confessing Anglicans that I made the general reference to in my comment.  It is quite possible that for various reasons, sympathisers and supporters of the G.A.F.C. and the F.C.A. are yet members of the Anglican Communion and may be part of the discussion.

Are you, Wendy Dackson, going to apply the same rule to them as you did to Harold L Carter – if anyone (of them, the supporters or sympathisers with the G.A.F.A. and the F.C.A. makes a statement that any other member “flags as being inappropriate” that you will deleted it?  … You recall you didsay:

In terms of our differences in the Church let’s take it for granted that all people in the discussion – are trying to be genuine followers of Jesus Christ – and that we have a lot to learn from each other’s ways.”

And

I hope that all of us will call each other if we slip into polarizing language where someone will identify one thing as “right” and another as “wrong.”

Isn’t it obvious that both G.A.F.C. and CFA members and their supporting members still members of the Anglican Communion have very strong religious convictions and definitely do identify one thing as “right” and another as “wrong and will do so in any discussion in which they are participants!
