A truly amazing American scientist who is also among the most outstanding individuals of the 20th century.  I place him along with Dr Cheikh Anta Diop, John G Jackson, and W.E.B. Du Bois as contributing the most toward establishing the evidence of Africa and its populations or people –

(prior to the European colonialist and imperialist takeover of the continent beginning in the 1400s and explosively expanding during the 19th century) –

with regard to archaeological discoveries, human migrations, particularly the African migrations from 1.9 million years ago and 50,000 to 30,000 years ago, and the African contributions to civilization prior to the Greek and Roman civilizations.
